‘Birch trees’; the moments of disapearing.

The days that seemed endless, timeless and season-less were bookended by two phone calls made to the hospital each day. The awake hours were taken up with a small walk within our designated radius, emails sent to people who were asking, and visits from friends as we spoke at a distance. Still, my mind was never quite with me. These small paintings were made when I managed to find some work that completely engrossed me, even if it was only for a short time.

The works shown below are a small selection of many. The last work was never finished. Time had run out.
