About

A

I have never fitted into a ‘box’ in terms of art making. The materials and mediums I use are those that I feel are relevant, specifically chosen and an important element of a project I am working on at any specific time. I also often find myself working on multiple projects simultaneously. I guess I have a curious mind.

‘Tasmania’. Abraham Maslow’s fourth need: Esteem needs – (i) esteem for oneself (dignity, achievement, mastery, independence) and (ii) the desire for reputation or respect from others (e.g., status, prestige).

‘Memory Map’, the third in my series of Maslow’s ‘Hierarchy of Need’ is at the printers. A big thank you to the community of Rathanna and the Rathanna Group Committee for helping me in realising this project.

‘Food – Newfoundland’ (Canada) and ‘This I can Carry’ (Greece) have both been completed and are now published works.

I am a founding member of the ‘The 9 Stones Artists‘, a professional group of artists based at the foothills of the Blackstairs mountains in County Carlow.
